PETRI Berlin invites you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of archaeology and discover the metropolis’s often hidden heritage.

Built on the foundations of a medieval Latin school, the archaeology lab reveals what usually takes place behind closed doors: in a unique way, PETRI Berlin opens its workshops, storage rooms and project areas to visitors, allowing them to participate directly in current discoveries and research and witness the individual steps of archaeological work.

Significant finds from across Berlin and the Museum of Prehistory and Early History’s collection, with objects from the Palaeolithic Age to Heinrich Schliemann’s collection of Trojan antiquities and modern objects, convey all facets of archaeology.
