The Berlin PATH OF ARCHAEOLOGY

Berlin is older than it appears at first glance, because the oldest history of the city lies in the ground beneath our feet. In recent decades, archaeologists have examined numerous traces of the city’s 800-year old history. Original remains have been preserved and made accessible at various locations throughout the city as archaeological windows. They show how complex and changeable Berlin was and still is. The Berlin PATH OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL connects these windows into the past with other sites of early city history in the centre of Berlin, bringing them to life.

Our guided tours give insights into archaeological research and urban life in different centuries, right where they took place. Together with you, we uncover layers of the past that can still be found today in the vibrant heart of the metropolis.
The route is suitable for wheelchair users, but we recommend bringing an accompanying person.
The tour is mainly aimed at adults and families.
